FAQ's and Misconceptions about the JROTC program
Q: Will my child have to join the military after they graduate High School?
A: No, the JROTC program is not a recruiting tool for the military, there is no military commitment after HS
Q: Do you do combat training?
A: No, we do not do combat training.
Q: What does my child do in the JROTC program?
A: Cadets learn how to march as if they were in the military, cadets also wear their uniforms, learn about different things they could apply to in their daily lives, as well as test their military knowledge about uniform placements so they can be promoted. Cadets can also join any of our specials teams, ranging from Color Guard to Orienteering team, or even our Academic Team.
